“We originally selected Six Brunton as a place to stay for a week due to its central location. However, Hillary and Martin made our experience so much more than what we expected it to be! The room was beyond comfortable and quiet (which is welcomed after a day of exploration!) and breakfast each morning was refreshing, filling, and fresh. We appreciated the suggestions made by our kind hosts for when we first arrived, and enjoyed the small conversations each morning. We could not recommend Six Brunton Place more if we tried.”

“This guesthouse was truly one of the finest accommodations I have ever chosen. The atmosphere was exceptionally warm, nostalgic, and rich with a sense of history, creating a uniquely memorable stay. Enjoying breakfast and afternoon tea in an intimate room beside the fireplace was an especially charming and relaxing experience. The rooms were immaculately clean, thoughtfully designed, and beautifully furnished with great attention to detail. I felt an immediate sense of comfort and ease—so much so that it genuinely felt like being in my own home rather than a hotel. The bathroom was equally elegant, spotless, and well maintained. The location is outstanding: situated on a quiet street while remaining conveniently close to the city center and major tourist attractions. Everything is easily accessible, with approximately a 20-minute walk or just a 5-minute bus ride. The host was extremely welcoming, kind, and attentive. Despite traveling during the coldest days of the year, the room was perfectly warm and cozy throughout our stay. Overall, I cannot find a single fault with this place. I highly recommend it without hesitation and will most certainly choose to stay here again on future visits.”

“The host was very accommodating and welcoming. Thanks to her, my trip turned way more comfortable than it could have been. I arrived in Edinburgh super early, but I was allowed to leave my bags as early as 7:30. After a night ride bus from London, I craved a shower and bed, so I was super happy to hear that room would be ready by 12 instead of 3pm stated in the house rules. Finally, I had to leave early, too, to catch the train, and the host prepared the breakfast earlier than usual so that I could eat before departing. The room itself: cosy, clean, small, was ideal for a solo traveller. Oh, and the bath! The guest house was walking distance from the old town and Holyrood park, thus ideal for me. Highly recommend!”
